The Mahindra Xylo has been doing very well for its manufacturer will now be exported to South Africa. However as posted earlier, the version in question is the cargo variant. The Cargo Xylo’s exteriors remain unchanged with the only change being the blanking out of the middle and the rear windows. This modification is relatively easy for Mahindra and not only does it save time but also money by avoiding re-tooling.
Mahindra also plan to launch a double-cab pickup variant of the Xylo which will also be geared towards the export market. The pick-up variant will be more on the lines of the Tata Xenon. The Xylo Cargo Van has already been approved by the ARAI (Automotive Research Authority of India) and is currently at the final stages of export procedures.
