Mahindra Thar RWD pricing revised after about two months of launch
Mahindra has revised the pricing of Thar RWD variants after the introductory period is over. The Indian UV maker launched the 4×2 Thar on 9th January.
It came with three variants – AX (O) Diesel MT, LX Diesel MT and LX Petrol AT. The intro pricing for the same were Rs. 9.99 lakhs, Rs. 10.99 lakhs and Rs. 13.49 lakhs respectively (all prices, ex-showroom).
While AX (O) Diesel MT and LX Petrol AT pricing remains the same, the LX Diesel MT variant gets a price hike of Rs. 50,000/-. It now comes with a retail price of Rs. 11.49 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The diesel variants of the RWD Thar are powered by a 1.5-litre D117 CRDe engine producing
117 BHP and 300 Nm torque with 6-speed manual transmission. The petrol variant of the RWD range gets the same 2.0-litre turbo mStallion 150 TGDi engine producing 150 BHP and 320 Nm torque with 6-speed automatic transmission.
The 4WD variants have a waiting period of up to 4 weeks. RWD petrol version has a waiting of up to 5 weeks. RWD diesel has a huge waiting time of 74 weeks.
