Mahindra Thar Roxx, the highly anticipated 5-door version of the Thar, is set to be revealed in the Independence Day, 15th August. A recent teaser from the company has provided a glimpse of the advanced features and upgrades that will distinguish this model from its predecessors.
Mahindra Thar Roxx Key Features and Specifications
The Thar Roxx is set to come equipped with a host of modern features aimed at enhancing both comfort and convenience. A standout addition is the digital instrument cluster, complemented by a sizeable touchscreen infotainment system at the centre. The infotainment system will be paired with a Harman Kardon audio setup, promising a high-quality audio experience.
In terms of comfort, the SUV will offer a powered driver’s seat and ventilated front seats, catering to the needs of those long drives. A wireless charger will be available, along with a 360-degree camera for improved visibility and ease of parking. The inclusion of an auto-dimming IRVM further underscores Mahindra’s attention to detail in offering a premium driving experience.
For those looking for additional luxury, higher variants of the Thar Roxx are expected to feature a panoramic sunroof. Meanwhile, select lower trims may come with a single-pane sunroof, providing options for different preferences and budgets.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems
Mahindra appears to be taking a step forward in vehicle safety with the Thar Roxx, as higher trims are likely to include Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). This system may offer features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and automated emergency braking, although the specifics are yet to be fully detailed.
Powertrain Options
The Thar Roxx will retain the engine options available in the standard model. Buyers can choose between a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. Both engine options will be available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission, providing flexibility for different driving styles and preferences.
