Mahindra Thar Updated With New Logo & Minor Changes

The new logo looks nice on the steering wheel of the Thar

Mahindra Thar gets silently updated with new Twin Peaks logo and gets minor tweaks for better ergonomics

Mahindra Thar finally gets the new logo. The Twin Peaks logo made its debut for the first time in the XUV700. The second car to get the updated logo was the Scorpio-N followed by the Scorpio Classic and now finally all the other SUVs are getting it including the Bolero Neo, Thar, XUV300, etc.

The front profile remains the same, there was no logo on the nose, it just had the Mahindra lettering on top of the grille, which continues to be the same. On the side profile you will notice the new logo on the alloy wheels. The key fob has been updated as well.

The Twin Peaks is most noticeable on the steering wheel, which looks good. The infotainment screen also wakes up with the updated monogram.

The toggle switches on the centre console get a more convenient design with protruding tabs and new buttons

Apart from these changes, Mahindra has offered new switchgear in the centre console. Previously, the buttons were rounded in shape and were relatively not easy to use. Now, there is a protruding tab on the toggle switches which makes the buttons easier to press.

Also, the traction control button and hill descent control buttons have been shifted from the panel near the door to the centre console.

Additionally, now you get a door lock/unlock button too on the centre console that adds to the practicality of the cabin.

There are no changes on the front profile

Mahindra has also removed the lumbar support feature on the front seats. The Rocky Beige and Mystic Copper colour options have been discontinued as well. The Thar is now available in Napoli Black, Galaxy Grey, Aqua Marine and Red Rage colours.

Apart from these updates, there are no other changes in the car. The 2.0-litre petrol motor continues to produce 150 BHP and 320 Nm. The 2.2-litre diesel engine produces 130 HP and 320 Nm.
