Mahindra Thar 5Door to get different interior details
Mahindra Thar 5Door launch is still a few months away as the off-roader will make its way to the showrooms in 2024. New details have been emerging as the launch nears.
MotorBeamer Shashank Adke has spotted this prototype which reveals more information about the upcoming SUV. The longer version of the Mahindra Thar will get XUV700 borrowed steering wheel and not the one seen on the current Thar. This will differentiate the two vehicles and add to the premium appeal of the bigger SUV.
Along with the new steering wheel we also noticed a slightly different infotainment system setup which looks a tad larger than the 3-door Thar. We can expect the Indian carmaker to introduce a larger touchscreen with the latest UI and more features on offer.
Slight changes on the dashboard are also expected along with a new front armrest that we saw previously on one of the test mules. The new Thar will also come with a sunroof. It won’t be a panoramic sunroof but a regular one.
Recently some spy photos also revealed a different front profile design that might come with unique LED headlight styling and new grille design. Since it will be a larger version of the 3-door Thar, Mahindra should offer 360 degree parking camera as well for better convenience.
Engine options of the upcoming Thar 5-door are likely to remain unchanged. It will continue to be offered with 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine options with both manual and automatic transmission choices. Mahindra will be offering both 4×2 and 4×4 variants as well.
