Mahindra Thar 5-Door launch soon as the SUV will make its debut next month

Mahindra Thar 5-Door will be revealed officially next month (January 2023) as the carmaker plans to launch the SUV soon in India.
According to our sources, the long wheelbase version of the Thar will make its world premiere next month, around 26th January. It has been spotted multiple times recently across the country.
It is a more practical version of the 3-door Thar having a proper second row of seats for three adults. It is still unclear weather the 5-door Thar will get a third row seating or not.
The Indian UV maker is likely to give it a new name. The design will be exactly the same but you can expect minor styling tweaks to differentiate the two products.
It will be powered by the same 2.2-litre diesel and 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine options albeit with different tuning. To be offered with both manual and automatic transmission options.
While the 3-door Thar is offered with 4×4 as standard across all variants, you can expect Mahindra to offer 4×2 variants as well with the longer Thar.
The price difference is likely to be around Rs. 1 lakh over the 3-door Thar. While the new SUV will be revealed next month, the launch is still far away, expected to hit the showrooms in the second half of 2023.
