Mahindra Thar 5 door concept gives a glimpse of the upcoming SUV
Mahindra Thar 5-door version is under testing since a while now but this concept rendering gives us an idea about the look of the SUV.
While this concept shows exactly the same styling of the current 3-door Thar with extended wheelbase and 2 additional doors, the actual production version is expected to be different.
The Indian UV makes is expected to make some styling tweaks to the 5-door version to differentiate the two models. The front is likely to get a unique grille with slightly different headlight design. The alloys are expected to be different as well. You can also expect some changes to the rear profile.
Mahindra might even give the 5-door Thar a new name altogether to showcase a strong portfolio of SUVs. Mechanically it will be similar to the current 3-door Thar albeit with higher state of engine tuning.
While the 3-door Thar is offered with 4×4 as standard across all variants, we can expect Mahindra to offer 4×2 variants as well. It will be targeted at buyers who don’t go off the road. You can expect the ride to be relatively subtle with more focus on middle-row passenger comfort.
