Mahindra Scorpio, NuvoSport recalled for a faulty fluid hose in the engine bay. The repairs will be carried out for free.
Mahindra has announced a recall for the current generation Scorpio as well as the NuvoSport which was recently launched in India. The company seems to have discovered a fault with a fluid hose in the engine compartment and hence they are undertaking a voluntary recall to replace the same.
The recall is valid for all new Scorpio and NuvoSport cars manufactured up to the month of June 2016. The company will inspect each vehicle and carry out subsequent rectification of the same. The inspection and repairs of the faulty part will be done free of cost at authorised Mahindra dealerships.
The automaker will be contacting customers individually and will allot a time when they can come to the service centre for the check-up and repair. The exact number of affected cars hasn’t been disclosed by the company though. Company officials have also stated that this recall is in compliance with SIAM’s voluntary code on vehicle recall.
