Mahindra set to launch Scorpio N Napoli Black Edition, a top-spec, dark-themed trim
Mahindra is gearing up to introduce a new addition to its popular Scorpio N lineup—the Black Edition. This variant, based on the top-spec trim, is expected to hit the market soon as it has already begun arriving at dealerships across India.
Since its debut in June 2022, the Mahindra Scorpio N has established itself as a strong contender in the midsize SUV segment. Alongside its sibling, the Scorpio Classic, the model has consistently delivered impressive sales figures. The current price for the Scorpio N ranges between Rs. 13.99 lakhs and Rs. 22.29 lakhs (ex-showroom).
A Dark-Themed Makeover
The upcoming Napoli Black Edition introduces a striking, dark-themed aesthetic to the Scorpio N, building on Mahindra’s existing Midnight Black and Stealth Black colour options. This edition stands out with its glossy black exterior finish, complemented by 18-inch all-black alloy wheels.
The front fascia features a chrome-accented grille, hexagonal inserts on the lower air intake, and a black bumper with a matching skid plate. While the overall design remains consistent with the standard model, the darker theme gives the SUV a more aggressive and premium look.
Premium Features Inside
The interior of the Napoli Black Edition continues the dark theme, enhancing the cabin’s premium appeal. Being based on the top-end variant, it comes equipped with a host of advanced features. These include a 12-speaker Sony audio system with a dual-channel subwoofer, a six-way power-adjustable driver seat, ventilated front seats and an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror (IRVM).
Other notable additions include front parking sensors, a wireless smartphone charger with active cooling and electrically adjustable ORVMs with integrated turn indicators.
Powertrain Options
Under the hood, the Napoli Black Edition retains the existing engine choices offered in the Scorpio N lineup. Buyers can opt for either the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel or the 2.0-litre mStallion petrol engine. Both powertrains are available with manual and automatic transmission options, ensuring a variety of choices to suit different driving preferences.
Launch Imminent
With the Black Edition already making its way to dealerships, an official launch announcement is expected soon. The carmaker has already released the teasers of the special edition. Tata Motors is also preparing to launch Stealth Editions for the Safari and Harrier tomorrow (21st February).
