From the recently concluded dealer’s conference of Mahindra 2-Wheelers, details of their much awaited bike Mojo have come out along with detailed pictures.
You read it first on MotorBeam! We have laid our hands on some exclusive information and pictures of the upcoming bike from the Mahindra stable, the Mojo. Ever since the news of the Mojo hit the market, people have been eagerly waiting for the bike. But, due to one reason or the other the company kept delaying the launch. Issues faced during the R&D process were the major cause of delay. However, the wait finally seems to be coming to an end. At the recently concluded Mahindra dealers conference, the company has finally announced that the launch will happen within the next 60 days. These two months will be utilized for designing the ad campaign and getting feedback from the pre-launch testing.
The Mahindra Mojo has been developed over a very long period of time by the company and we expect it to be flawless from the word go unlike other Mahindra vehicles which have been plagued with niggles in the initial lot. Looking at the pictures sent to MotorBeam by one of our followers, the motorcycle does look impressive and very different from the current crop of two-wheelers from the Indian manufacturer. Components like the disc brakes and the golden coloured swingarm look of high quality. Twin silencers lend the bike a beefier look and make it an attention grabber.
Powered by a 300cc single-cylinder engine, the Mojo produces around 30 BHP of power which is very good and gives the bike a decent power-to-weight ratio. Those who got to ride the bike report that it feels faster than the Honda CBR250 with which it would compete indirectly. Steel braided brake lines can be seen in the pictures but the bike could do with better brakes. However, we can’t confirm these facts till the time we get to test it which isn’t too far away now. The bike also gets DRLs at the front along with upside down forks which up the premium quotient by a notch. At an estimated price of Rs. 1.4 lakhs (ex-showroom), the bike should sell well.
