The 300cc performance bike, Mahindra Mojo has been spotted completely off-guard. The bike will be launched in March at a an attractive price.
The Mahindra Mojo is one such bike that has been generating an extra amount of hype ever since it was announced. The Mojo is a performance bike coming from a manufacturer who mainly deals in commuter bikes and brawny SUVs. The bike was first displayed almost five years back and when people finally lost hope about the bike arriving, news about the bike’s possible launch in the near future started floating. Mahindra also exported the Mojo to UAE to exhibit it. The company is now planning to launch a new product every six months and it could be very possible that the next product will be the Mojo 300.
The Mahindra Mojo has been caught without any camouflage by MotorBeam reader Rohan Takalkar in Lonavala. The bike surely looks unique and when you look at it first, you really cannot imagine that such a design comes from an Indian manufacturer. The front headlight shroud does look slightly quirky and non-proportional but then it might just be the camera angle that makes it look so.
From the side, this motorcycle looks different and the fuel tank seems to be huge in size. The rear of the Mojo is compact and simple. The 300cc machine gets black alloys and golden accents along with some silver components on the black body. The bike would have looked even better in full-black styling.
The Mahindra Mojo is powered by a 295cc engine which is a single-cylinder unit. It generates a maximum power output of 27 BHP at 8000 RPM while peak torque is rated at 25 Nm at 6500 RPM. Mahindra is testing the motorcycle in a very rigorous way across various road types. The Mahindra Mojo will be launched in March and it will be priced in the whereabouts of Rs. 1.5 lakhs (ex-showroom). The pricing will be aggressive for sure and the motorcycle will compete with the Bajaj Pulsar 200, KTM Duke 200, Kawasaki Z250 and the likes.
