Mahindra has finally started promoting the Mojo ahead of its official launch next month through its social media channels. Pegged as a sports tourer, the street-fighter offers the riding experience of a cruiser and a sports bike at the same time and will be greatly appreciated by those looking to clock touring kilometres.
Since the prototype was first showcased at the 2010 Auto Expo, the production spec Mahindra Mojo has gone through a host of changes and upgrades with the improvements happening constantly. The bike as we all know now has been extensively tested and Mahindra even went out to provide the bikes for customer test rides prior to launch to gauge feedback. The automaker has been extremely cautious with its flagship model and the end result seems to be pleasing. Three colours have been confirmed on the Mojo which include black, red and white as well as an all-white shade.
In terms of power, the Mahindra Mojo uses a 299.5cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 27 BHP at 8000 RPM and 30 Nm of torque at 6000 RPM, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike uses upside down forks at the front and a monoshock suspension setup at the rear, while braking performance is taken care by the front and rear disc brakes. The real party piece on the bike though is the tricked out instrument cluster that comes with a host of goodies including a top speed recorder, 0-100 km/hr timer and quarter mile timer.
In addition, Mahindra is ensuring to lure customers with a host of benefits for its flagship offering and is providing a 2 year/unlimited kilometre warranty that is certain to please the tourers. The Mojo is expected to carry a price tag of Rs. 1.75 lakhs (on-road) and will lock horns with the popular KTM Duke 200 in the segment.
