Mahindra teased the new Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS BS6 on their website a week ago and now they’ve revealed a new colour on their social media channels. Mahindra calls it the Mojo 300 ABS Garnet Black.
The new Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS gets no new major aesthetic elements as such. But, the new colour scheme gets a fully black paint job with a hint of red. For the Garnet Black scheme, the Mojo gets a red frame, red pinstripes on the alloys and even the swingarm is red now.
The new colour combination looks much better than before and it will certainly attract the younger consumers. A black exhaust would’ve enhanced the overall design, though.
While there is no official information from Mahindra, the Mahindra Mojo 300 is likely to retain the 295cc engine which will be BS6 compliant. We expect a little drop in performance which seems to be the trend for all BS6 motorcycles.
Feature-wise the new Mahinda Mojo 300 will get a twin-headlamp setup upfront, sculpted body panels, large radiator shrouds, and a side-mounted exhaust. We expect both front and tail lights to be full LED.
As for the equipment, the Mahindra Mojo 300 will get conventional telescopic forks, rear monoshocks and disc brakes at both ends. The motorcycle also gets a dual-channel ABS setup.
The Mahindra Mojo 300 will compete with the Bajaj Dominar 400 and the Royal Enfield Himalayan. While it is proven to be a comfortable motorcycle, it will be interesting to see how it fares with them now. We expect a bump in price by around Rs. 10,000-15,000/- from the previous BS4 model.
