Mahindra KUV100 Xtreme is a heavily modified version of the KUV100 NXT.
Along with some promising vehicles such as the XUV700 and beautiful concepts such as the Stinger, Mahindra & Mahindra has taken covers off the KUV100 Xtreme. Based on the KUV100 NXT hatchback, the car witnesses modifications performed by Mahindra Customisation Team to pose as an aggressive off-roader. Knowing Mahindra, we expect such kind of customisation to cost an arm and a leg over the standard vehicle’s price.
On the outside, the KUV100 Xtreme features beefier bumpers with silver skid plates and a wide body kit with flared wheel arches. Flaunting a flashy orange body colour, the car also gets off-road rims finished in black along with bigger tyres. There is a “Xtreme” badging on the doors and boot lid, while the rear-view mirrors and roof come wrapped in black to match the body cladding. The tail lamp housings and roof spoiler get a black applique for a sporty appearance.
Then, there are two exhaust pipes jutting out of the rear bumper. The interior layout remains unchanged but the Xtreme gets sporty seats with an “X” insignia on the headrests. Apart from piano black and orange accents, the cabin also gets a touchscreen infotainment unit and an ambient light strip running across the entire width of the dashboard.
There are no changes on the mechanical front and the vehicle continues to draw power from 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines. The petrol motor develops 82 HP of power while the diesel unit puts out 77 BHP of power. Prices for the regular KUV100 NXT start at Rs. 4.66 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
