Mahindra KUV100 facelift slated for a launch later this year, the hatchback will be going through a design overhaul.
The Mahindra KUV100 facelift launch is scheduled later this year and the UV maker has decided to give the vehicle a cleaner design both at the front and at the rear. In a move to revive buyer interest, Mahindra will be eliminating the exaggerated styling with the rather odd-looking cuts and creases present in the current KUV100.
Earlier this yea, Mahindra updated the KUV100 with 15-inch alloy wheels (had offered 14-inch alloys previously) but still sales continue to see a downtrend. Mahindra sold just 2141 units in April this year as compared to 5097 units in the same month last year. Sales have fallen more than 50 percent and a facelift will ensure that the KUV100 stays relevant in the Indian market.
However, we expect Mahindra to continue offering the KUV100 facelift with the same set of engines that power the current model. The Kompact Utility Vehicle is powered by 1.2-litre mFalcon petrol and diesel engines that produce 82 HP (in petrol) and 77 HP (in diesel).
Mahindra has also lined up the launch of the facelifted Scorpio and XUV500, both of which are set to get an increase in their power output.
