Mahindra has launched the Jeeto MiniVan in India that is based on the Jeeto platform. The Jeeto MiniVan is available in 2 body forms, semi hardtop and hardtop and 3 fuel types, petrol, diesel and CNG. The Jeeto MiniVan is priced at Rs. 3.45 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai) for the diesel variant.
Lookswise, the Jeeto MiniVan looks identical to the Jeeto Mini truck from the front. The signature Mahindra grille adjoins the round shaped headlamps. The rear is what sets the Jeeto MiniVan from the Jeeto Mini truck apart. The quirky looking round tail-lights and the black bumper actually make the Jeeto MiniVan an interesting vehicle to look at.
The Jeeto MiniVan gets dual tone car-like interiors with a clean minimalistic designed dashboard and a modern instrument cluster. Mahindra has taken care of the ergonomics inside the cabin too and the positioning of the gear lever on the dashboard and well-cushioned seating makes driving fatigue-free. The Mahindra Jeeto MiniVan also features a lockable glove box and comes in 4-seater or 5-seater options.
The cabin of the Mahindra Jeeto MiniVan also gets seat belt systems and head restraints. Powering the Mahindra Jeeto MiniVan is a m-Dura, 625cc, single-cylinder, water-cooled, BS4 compliant diesel engine that produces 16 HP and 38 Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a 4-speed manual transmission and returns a claimed fuel-efficiency figure of 26 km/l.
The Mahindra Jeeto MiniVan comes with a warranty of 2 years/40,000 kms (whichever is earlier) and is offered in 3 colour schemes – Sunrise Red, Ultramarine Blue and Diamond White. Mahindra has stated that the Jeeto MiniVan will be launched in a phased manner. The vehicle launched just now comes with a semi hardtop and a diesel engine. In the coming months, the range will be completed with the launch of the hardtop CNG and diesel variants and the semi hardtop CNG and petrol variants.
