Mahindra has ensured not to reveal too much about the Bolero Neo through the teaser videos
Mahindra has released a series of teaser videos of the Bolero Neo which is expected to be launched soon in the market.
The videos reveal the new front end of the compact SUV that is dominated by a large radiator grille with 6 angled chrome slats and a horizontal one, bearing the maker’s badge, on top.
Restyled headlights flank the grille and now the DRLs are on the top part of the headlamps, lining up with the horizontal chrome bar, which has actually been left untouched by Mahindra.
Also, there is now a revised front bumper with a larger air intake and a couple of slimmer fog lamps situated on either side of it. As before, the number plate continues to be housed right at the lower part of the bumper.
Another aspect of the car that the teaser videos reveal is the design of the new alloy wheels which looks better than the styling of the old ones, but still is fairly ordinary-looking.
The Mahindra Bolero Neo teaser videos also show that the compact SUV will continue to come with a dual tone dashboard, while the seat upholstery has received an update, yet, still featuring diamond quilting.
Mahindra has also updated the analogue dials in the instrument cluster and, yes, there is the obligatory MID between the clocks. The touchscreen or the centre console were not shown in the teaser videos, indicating some work has taken place there.
Earlier, we had disclosed that the Bolero Neo will be offered in 3 variants (N4, N8 and N10) and that it will be powered by a 100 HP 1.5-litre diesel motor. As for the gearbox, the teaser videos show the car will come with a 5-speed manual.
Sadly, it seems that Mahindra will not be offering an AMT gearbox with the car, for it would have been shown in the videos. Or, it could be that the firm wants to keep it a secret until the official launch of the model.
Expect the compact SUV to hit the market soon and rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Nissan Magnite and the like.
