Mahindra has come up with the updated Bolero Pik-Up, christened as Big Bolero Pik-Up. The new LCV comes with cosmetic changes as well as updated mechanicals to accommodate more cargo with better payload capacity.
To stay up to date amongst the fierce competition, Mahindra has launched a revised version of the Bolero Pik-Up and renamed it as Big Bolero Pik-Up, which is priced from Rs. 6.15 lakhs (ex-showroom, Pune). As the name suggests, the Big Bolero Pik-Up offers a bigger loading bay with higher payload capacity. It now comes with two options of payload – 1.25 tonnes and 1.5 tonnes. Power steering comes as standard now on both variants.
That’s not it, the new Bolero Pik-Up now comes with some cosmetic changes on the exteriors to make it look fresh in the market.On the inside the Mahindra Big Bolero Pik-Up gets a revised dashboard, which is carried over from the latest passenger version of the Bolero having new styling details that ups the overall feel of the cabin. Powering the latest pickup truck from Mahindra is a 2.5-litre DI diesel engine that produces 63 BHP of power and 195 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
Mahindra has also introduced a BS4 version of the 2.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces a higher 70 BHP of power and 195 Nm of torque at 1500-1800 RPM. The pickup truck gets engine immobiliser for the BS4 variant. The cargo body is now 9 feet in length and the vehicle has a turning radius of 6.5 metres. Mahindra is offering 3 years unlimited kms warranty for BS3 and 1 years unlimited kms warranty for BS4 variant. Accidental insurance worth Rs. 10 lakhs is free of cost.
Mahindra has about 50 percent market share in the LCV segment making the Indian automaker the leader in its class. The utility vehicle maker has a wide portfolio of LCVs including Imperio, Supro, Maxximo and Jeeto. The product lineup gets updated frequently in order to stay ahead of the competition and churn out big volumes in differing segments of LCVs.
