Mahindra is very aware about how badly received the Stallio is in the Indian motorcyle market. Thus the company has released the following statement to justify the Stallio’s current sales condition in the market.
When we launched the Stallio, the response we received was very positive and we had significant demand. However, today we are faced with certain supply chain related constraints of some critical components. This is a short term phenomenon and will be sorted out latest by June 2011. Once this situation is resolved, one will see a lot more Stallios on the road. We are in constant communication with our valued customers and are aware that certain parts of the bike require some fine tuning and adjustment in a small proportion of the product. As a responsible customer centric brand, we are proactively addressing the same to ensure customer satisfaction. We take the reliability and dependability of our products very seriously which is why we gave a 4 year/40,000 km warranty with the Stallio so that our customers have “itmenaan”. Between November- December 2010, 20 Stallios made a cross country journey across the length and breadth of India, covering over 1,35,000km in the Mahindra Stallio Great India Ride, thereby bearing testimony to the toughness and reliability of the product. We are in the two wheeler space for the long term and will take all steps to ensure we remain customer focused and deliver products of quality.
