Lexus has recalled 113 units of these models in India due to faulty camera
Lexus India has initiated a voluntary recall for three of its models – the LS, NX and RX, due to an issue with the front and rear view cameras. The recall affects a total of 113 units across the country, encompassing various manufacturing timelines. Importantly, Lexus India has stated that the replacement of the affected parts will be conducted at no cost to the customers.
The recall specifically targets the inspection and replacement of the front-view and rear-view cameras. Despite no reported cases linked to the faulty parts so far, Lexus India has proactively decided to address the potential issue. The company will reach out to individual customers through their respective dealerships as part of this service campaign.
The affected models include the LS 500 and LS 500h manufactured between 20th April, 2023 and 9th August, 2023, NX cars produced from 17th January, 2023 to 24th February, 2023 and units of the RX built between 9th May, 2023 and 8th August, 2023.
Lexus India emphasises that this voluntary recall is a precautionary measure to ensure customer safety and satisfaction. Customers impacted by the recall will be notified directly by the company to schedule the necessary service appointments.
If you own any of these cars and it is manufactured between aforementioned dates, get you car checked with your service centre if you haven’t received the official communication yet from the carmaker or your dealer.
