Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two gets visual changes, updated hardware & more
Land Rover has unveiled the 2024 Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two, a performance oriented SUV that elevates the sportiness and improves the dynamic capability. This new edition offers enhanced design options, technical advancements and a host of additional features.
It comes in four distinct design curations – Blue Nebula Matte, Ligurian Black Gloss, Marl Grey Gloss and Sunrise Copper Satin. Each of these themes is designed to amplify the vehicle’s visual appeal. The Blue Nebula Matte, for instance, features a colour inspired by the Northern Atlantic coast, paired with a Satin Forged Carbon exterior pack and 23-inch forged black alloy wheels.
The vehicle boasts a range of technical improvements. The new forged carbon fibre finisher options and exclusive Blue Nebula Matte colour highlight its modern aesthetic. The lightweight 23-inch Carbon Fibre Wheel option, alongside the Brembo Carbon Ceramic Brakes, contributes to a 76kg weight saving, enhancing handling, acceleration and ride quality.
Under the hood, the Range Rover Sport SV is powered by a mild-hybrid 4.4-litre Twin Turbo V8 engine producing 635 PS and 750 Nm of torque. This engine allows the SUV to accelerate from 0-96 km/hr in just 3.6 seconds, making it the most powerful Range Rover Sport ever. The SV Mode further amplifies the performance by optimising the suspension, powertrain and steering.
Inside, the SV Edition Two offers a choice between innovative knit textiles or Windsor leather for the SV Performance seats, which feature integrated headrests, carbon fibre backboards and more sculpted bolsters. The seats are heated, cooled and equipped with massage functionality for maximum comfort. The Body and Soul Seat (BASS) technology enhances the in-car sensory experience, providing wellness benefits through advanced audio technology.
The redesigned steering wheel includes more pronounced thumb grips, a thicker rim and an exclusive illuminated SV Mode button, which configures the vehicle for maximum performance with a short press. The gear-shift paddles feature LED Edge-Lighting Technology, changing from white to red when SV Mode is activated.
Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two maintains a near-level stance during extreme acceleration, braking and cornering thanks to its hydraulic interlinked 6D Dynamics suspension with pitch and roll control. Customers can also specify a summer tyre designed with Michelin to maximise cornering capability, achieving up to 1.2G steady-state lateral acceleration in the dry.
Each of the four new design curations offers visually striking variations with unique exterior paint colourways, carbon fiber finishers and brake caliper colours. Clients can personalise their vehicles further with options like a body-coloured roof, Satin Forged Carbon Fibre Pack or Twill Carbon Fibre Pack.
Land Rover is expected to allot a few units of this special edition to India later this year. How do you like this special edition? Let us know in the comments section.
