Land Rover has set a rather high premium for the Metropolitan Edition of the Discovery
Land Rover has launched the Discovery Metropolitan Edition with a base asking price of Rs. 1.26 crore (ex-showroom), today in India.
Available in P360 and D300 grades, the Metropolitan Edition is the new top-of-the-range variant in the luxury off-roader’s model line-up that is based on the R-Dynamic HSE trim.
The new edition comes with ‘Bright Atlas’ detailing for the grille and Discovery script, complemented by ‘Hakuba Silver’ bumper inserts, 20-inch Satin Dark Grey wheels and black brake calipers.
Further, for the price, Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan edition comes with titanium mesh trim detailing, cabin air purifier, a sliding front sunroof and fixed rear panoramic roof.
The luxury SUV also features a 12.3-inch interactive driver display, 11.4-inch touchscreen, wireless charging, 4-zone climate control and heated steering wheel, heated and cooled rear seats, powered seat recline, among others.
The sole petrol variant is powered by a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder petrol engine making 355 BHP and 500 torques, while the diesel model has a 3.0-litre motor making 296 BHP and 650 Nm of torque.
Both variants have a top speed of 209 km/hr, both have all-wheel drive, Terrain Response system, electronic air suspension, and more, including a whole host of latest safety features.
