The time has finally arrived when the Italian svelte car maker, Lamborghini has unveiled their brand new super SUV concept, the Urus. Earlier, Lamborghini was always of the opinion that it wouldn’t build anything close to an SUV and would always stick to their 2-door sports cars. But the company stunned the world when it got leaked that Lamborghini will be actually unveiling an SUV at the ongoing Beijing Motor Show. The word “Urus” is a Spanish breed of bull that sits somewhere between fighting size and hauling size.
Codenamed LB736, the Lamborghini Urus concept is a part of an upcoming Volkswagen Group premium SUV on-slaught. Although the Lamborghini Urus concept has be unveiled at Beijing, but company officials say that the official debut of the car might not happen before 2015 which is the reason why complete details about the vehicle have not been provided to the media. But some things are certain; the Lamborghini Urus is a 4X4 SUV with just over 600 BHP of power, stretched slightly over 8 inches than the Aventador and in a price range of $200,000 and no diesel engine.
Lamborghini has committed that the Urus would be the most powerful production SUV ye and also least polluting in CO2 emissions. In terms of competition, the Lamborghini Urus is expected to rival the likes of BMW X6M, the Land Rover Range Rover Sport and the Porsche Cayenne. Lamborghini has high motorsport aims from the Urus as well and expects it might end up running the Dakar Rally. We eagerly await for more details on this stunning SUV.
