Lamborghini Temerario Nose

Lamborghini has decided to launch the Temerario on April 30, 2025. Surprisingly, it is sooner than the anticipated launch date of mid to late 2025. The Lamborghini Temerario replaces the iconic Huracan and comes with a PHEV V8 with monstrous statistics.

Design Elements

The Lamborghini Temerario has design cues that solidify its poster car nature. It retains design cues from the Huracan, such as the shark nose front end, as well as the lower lip spoiler. The Temerario integrates a hexagon into the LED DRLs and looks striking.

The hexagonal shape can be seen on the centrally-mounted exhaust, taillights, side mirrors and the fuel cap. The reasoning can be found with the 6th element being Carbon in the periodic table, and Lamborghini trying to signify the same. The wheels neatly complement the aggressive designs, measuring 20 inches and 21 inches at the front and rear, respectively.

The structure of the Temerario incorporates an aluminium space frame and gives 20% greater torsional rigidity. This is unlike the Huracán’s carbon fibre and aluminium hybrid space frame. There is also a track-focused Alleggerita Package that adds carbon fibre to the exterior and reduces the total weight of 1715 Kg by 25 Kg.

Interior

The interior of the Temerario takes inspiration from the Lamborghini Revuelto. It retains the spaceship-esque design cues but adds technology by way of a 12.3-inch driver’s display, an 8.4-inch vertical infotainment system, and a 9.1-inch passenger display. The seats have sporty contours and are 18-way electrically adjustable with heating and ventilation functionality.

Engine & Performance

The Lamborghini Temerario is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 with triple electric motors, producing 920 HP and 800 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This engine propels the car from 0-100 Km/hr in a blistering 2.7 seconds, up to a top speed of 343 km/hr.

The engine is high-revving, allowing a redline of 10,000 Rpm! The engine alone is good for 800 HP and 730 Nm of torque. The triple motor setup is powered by a 3.8 kWh battery and charged in just 30 minutes using a 7 kW AC Charger. Not to mention, the batteries can be charged via regenerative braking or the V8 itself.

Expected Pricing & Market Positioning

Lamborghini is expected to charge a premium over the existing Huracan and should cost around Rs. 6-7 Crore. The Temerario will compete with the likes of the Ferrari 296 GTB and McLaren 750S.

Outlook

The Lamborghini Huracan was loved for its screaming V10, which is why there seems to be a slight disappointment amongst purists for the downsized engine. However, the Temerario offers a better interior and performance as compared with the outgoing Huracan. This should help to change the negative public perception.
