KTM has teased their newest addition to the RC series, which is set to launch later this month.
The KTM RC 125 has been teased officially in a video highlighting the silhouette of the motorcycle. The one offered in the Indian market will have visual changes compared to the one on sale globally. KTM will introduce the RC 125 in India with a black and orange colour scheme and it will get an underbelly exhaust, tyre hugger and saree guard.
The international spec RC 125 gets a side-swung exhaust which won’t be the case with this one. The baby RC will be the entry level fully faired motorcycle from KTM. The Austrian brand also offers it in RC 200 and RC 390 guise. The bike maker recently launched the Duke 125 and the RC 125 shares most of the elements with its streetfighter sibling.
Powering the KTM RC 125 is a 124.7cc, single-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine shared with the Duke 125. This engine produces a peak power output of 14.5 BHP and 12 Nm of torque. This motor is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
Suspension duties are likely to be handled by inverted telescopic front fork while the rear will get a 10 step adjustable monoshock. KTM will be offering 300 mm front disc and a 230 mm rear disc for braking duties. It is expected to be priced Rs. 20,000/- more than the Duke 125.
