India-spec RC 125 colour scheme has been revealed ahead of its launch later this month.
With deliveries of the RC 125 expected to start from the month of July, consumers have been waiting impatiently for the 125cc fully faired motorcycle. The RC 125’s colour scheme has been revealed already and we now know that the bike will be offered in a new black and orange colour scheme. Also, the test mule that was spotted earlier was draped in a different paint job, so we expect that KTM will offer 2 colour options on the bike.
The RC 125 is on sale in the international market for quite some time now and finally will be brought to India after the launch of the baby Duke. The India-spec model gets slight tweaks like a rear tyre hugger, an obligatory saree guard and an underbelly exhaust instead of the side swung unit on the international model.
The RC 125 is powered by the same 124.7cc, single-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled motor that is seen on the Duke 125. This motor churns out 14.5 BHP and 12 Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The RC 125 might get the similar suspension set up as on the Duke 125 which gets inverted telescopic front fork while the rear gets 10 step adjustable monoshock. Braking is also expected to be conducted by a 300 mm front disc and a 230 mm rear disc brake.
KTM can follow the pricing trend that was used with the Duke 200 and the RC 200, and if so, the RC 125 will be Rs. 28,000/- costlier than the Duke 125 and will be priced at around Rs. 1.55-1.60 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). But, you get a more powerful Yamaha R15 at Rs. 1.39 lakhs (ex-showroom, India), so KTM might have to price this nimble 125cc motorcycle competitively.
