KTM Duke 390 Now Available In Black Colour

KTM has introduced black colour for the Duke 390 starting today. The bike was available in only one single colour till date, which was white. Bookings for the black Duke 390 have commenced today and deliveries will start from February. There is no extra cost for the new colour and the 2014 KTM Duke 390 is priced at Rs. 2.13 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai). The new black colour (called midnight black) was first offered in Europe, starting November. No other new colours are planned for the bike in the immediate future. Meanwhile the Duke 200 is offered in three colours.

The KTM Duke 390 looks as cool in black as it does in white but since we are used to seeing the white coloured Duke 390, we might find the black coloured model more attractive. Other than the body colour and graphics, rest of the colours remain the same, which means you still get the loud and sporty orange coloured steel trellis frame and wheels. This new colour goes well with people who believe that “once you go black, you don’t go back”. We don’t expect sales of the bike to get altered although many have been waiting for this new colour.

KTM has sorted out delivery issues and one can get their pocket-rocket Duke 390 in less than a month’s time. The Austrian manufacturer’s dealers however state up to 90 days for delivery, just to be on the safe side. The KTM Duke 390 is immensely fast yet doesn’t make you break the bank to buy it. At its current price point, there is nothing which can match this orange-monster in terms of cost-to-performance ratio. The Duke 390’s 373.2cc motor thrusts out an impressive 43.5 PS of raw horses and 35 Nm of twisting force.
