The KTM Duke 250 BS6 has been updated with a range of new mild yet significant updates. The bike is now around Rs. 4000/- more expensive at Rs. 2.09 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The quarter-litre bike gets some features from its elder sibling the Duke 390. The new changes include –
- Full-LED headlight with LED DRLs
- Dual-channel ABS with Supermoto mode
- Dark Galvano & Silver Metallic colour options
- One-touch start (early cold start)
- Metzeler tyres (MRF tyres were offered until now)
- WP Apex monoshock rear suspension
While some of the new changes have been announced officially, we noticed a few updates like the Metzeler tyres and WP Apex (the brochure mentioned only WP earlier).
The LCD display remains the same, there is no TFT on offer and even the switchgear and cluster gets no changes at all.
The Supermoto mode can be activated with a touch of a button. It disengages the rear ABS for the rider to push the bike to its limits giving more control to the rider.
The 248.8cc, liquid-cooled BS6 engine continues to offer 30 PS power and 24 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The bike has a fuel tank capacity of 13.4-litres. It comes with Bosch 9.1 MB Two Channel ABS. Gets 300 mm front disc and 230 mm rear disc.
Dry weight of the bike is 150 kg. Seat height is 830 mm while the ground clearance is 185 mm.
