KTM Duke 200 To Receive An Update In India

KTM is extremely likely to unveil the updated Duke 200 by the start of 2020.

KTM managed to sell 50,000 units in the last fiscal year

KTM had set foot in India with their Duke 200, and eventually, expanding their portfolio to 8 other bikes. They sold 50,000 units in the last fiscal. To sustain the same zeal among the buyers, KTM has claimed that the Duke 200 is going to receive an update, besides their launch of the 790 Duke in India.

The KTM Duke 200 hasn’t received any major overhauls since its conception 6 years ago except for some cosmetic changes. Information is very limited as much is not disclosed by the brand. Nonetheless, the brand hints at providing the riders with a more comfortable experience and smoother suspension. Similarly, the seat may get cushier and bigger in dimensions.

In the overall appeal of the bike, there is not much clarity. The changes may or may not be major. However, the design might be inspired by the Duke 250 and Duke 390.

The bike fills the gap between the RC 125 and the RC 200 sports bikes. The bike currently costs Rs. 1,62,000/- (ex-showroom, Delhi). KTM may showcase it at the upcoming 2020 Auto Expo. Upon its launch, it’ll go against its usual competition – the Suzuki Gixxer 250, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and Bajaj Pulsar NS 200.
