KTM has revealed three new bikes at EICMA including the new KTM 890 Duke R.
The Austrian bike maker has set the stage on fire at the ongoing EICMA show. One of the three bikes introduced is the KTM 890 Duke R. The naked motorcycle is expected to replace the KTM 790 Duke.
Powering the KTM 890 Duke R is a 890cc, parallel twin cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that churns out 121 HP at 9250 RPM and 99 Nm of peak torque at 7750 RPM. Paired to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch.
The bike gets traction control with lean angle sensitivity, 3 riding modes and optional track mode. The Austrian bike maker has equipped the bike with Cornering ABS and Supermoto mode.
The 890 Duke R has 166 kgs of dry weight and comes with 14-litres of fuel tank capacity. Gets two 320 mm front brake discs with radial 4 piston Brembo Stylema monobloc calipers and adjustable Brembo MCS front master cylinder.
It is based on ultra-lightweight chrome-molybdenum steel frame with revised geometry, aluminium rear subframe and die-cast aluminium open lattice swingarm.
The bike gets fully adjustable WP APEX 43 mm split open cartridge upside-down fork up front and fully adjustable WP APEX rear shock absorber with linear spring and preload adjuster.
The KTM 890 Duke R is expected to replace the 790 Duke in India sometime next year.
