The KTM 390 Adventure spied on test looks to carry all the qualities of being an efficient off-roader.
If you are a motorcycle freak and don’t miss even a single update about upcoming models, then the KTM 390 Adventure has to be on your list of most awaited motorcycles. Earlier, expectations of many had shattered when the Austrian bikemaker had announced the launch of their entry level Adventure offering to get postponed. Reason being it was not up to the mark and failed to pass a few tests.
Contrary to the earlier reports of the KTM 390 Adventure to be introduced in 2019, the spied mule of it suggests that KTM admirers won’t have to wait for a long time. Coming to the appearance of the spotted model, the front looks closely similar to the high capacity KTM 1190 Adventure with the vertically aligned headlamp and visor. Other minute details showcase the designer’s efforts to make it a proper off-road machine with spoke mounted wheels, handle guards, upswept exhaust, high mounted front mud guard and high ground clearance.
Though some of the parts such as the broad swingarm of the spied motorcycle look different than the KTM RC and Duke 390, it is expected to come into the market with almost the same specifications. It might carry the same engine as its siblings, and if that happens, power could be reduced to around 40 HP for a punchier low-end. When launched, the 390 Adventure will have a few rivals in its segment including the BMW G310 GS, Suzuki V-Strom 250 and Kawasaki Versys 300. With a huge range of offerings that are highly capable of off-roading, we expect KTM to nail it again with this motorcycle.
