KTM has launched the 250 Adventure with a price tag of Rs. 2,48,256/- (ex-showroom, Delhi), in India today.
Its maker has launched the motorcycle with the mission of capturing a major chunk of the rapidly growing segment of adventure motorcycles in the country.
Just by taking a brief look at it, people can identify it as a KTM product for it has the firm’s signature styling elements. Being an adventure motorcycle, it also comes with its own features such as raised suspension, windscreen, upswept exhaust and the like.
Built on a trellis frame, the bike has a 14.5-litre fuel tank, a 855 mm seat height, 200 mm ground clearance and weighs 177 kg. It does come with LED tail light and blinkers, while the headlight is a conventional unit.
Further, there is a LCD display with a separate button to select off-road ABS, a 12V power socket, toothed footpegs and a robust engine guard too.
It is evident that the KTM 250 Adventure price gets customers a quarter-litre motorcycle with elements of its larger displacement siblings and high-end componentry.
Powering the bike is a 248.76cc, DOHC, 4-valve, single cylinder engine that puts out 30 HP max power at 9000 RPM and 24 Nm peak torque at 7500 RPM. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and has a Power Assist Slipper Clutch (PASC).
Suspension duty is done by WP Apex 43 mm USD front forks (170 mm travel) and a preload adjustable rear monoshock with 177 mm travel.
Heavy-duty cast wheels (19-inch front and 17-inch rear) wheels are wrapped in 100-section (front) and 130-section (rear) MRF tyres, while the braking is done by BYBRE units featuring a 320 mm front disc and a 230 mm rear disc. ABS is there as well.
A wide array of KTM PowerParts such as GPS brackets, radiator protection grill, crash bungs, headlamp protection and handlebar pads are also available.
