Kia Sonet now gets sunroof for the HTK+ trim
Kia Sonet HTK+ 1.2-litre petrol trim now gets equipped with sunroof. This is the most affordable variant of the Sonet with sunroof which is priced at Rs. 9.76 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Until now the sunroof was available in the 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel variants. This is the first time the sunroof is being offered with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol variant.
The new variant now makes the sunroof more accessible in the Sonet by Rs. 73,000/-. We believe this is the carmaker’s strategy ahead of the festive season to boost the sales of the entry-level variants of this compact SUV.
Other features of the Kia Sonet HTK+ include 8.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay with wireless phone projection, 4 speakers and 2 tweeters, Fully Automatic Air Conditioner, Auto Headlamps, rear camera, 4 airbags, etc.
The Smartstream 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 83 PS and 115 Nm torque.
The compact SUV segment is going to get very competitive as some of the other rivals like the Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300 are getting substantial updates soon. Even the Kia Sonet is getting a facelift very soon as the prototypes have been spotted testing recently.
The updated Sonet will get revised front and rear design, updated interior and additional features on offer. It will compete with Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300.
