Kia Sonet facelift teased, price announcement scheduled for January 2024

Kia Sonet facelift teased officially in their latest video. The teaser briefly reveals the front profile of the updated compact SUV along with a small glimpse of the interior.

As we have already seen in the leaked images and now this teaser, the front-end gets a completely new LED headlight setup with new DRLs that make it look sharper. The grille has been redesigned with new elements and it looks bigger than the one offered in its predecessor. The updated front bumper neatly integrates LED fog lamps, which is a good move since most of the carmakers are deleting fog lamps nowadays.

The rear profile was not showcased in this teaser but it will get new tail lights and bumper design. There will be new alloy wheels on offer along with new colour options for a fresh appeal.

The interior of the Kia Sonet facelift remains more or less the same. It continues to get the same touchscreen infotainment system which might get a few UI changes. There is a new digital instrument cluster which is likely to be the same as the one seen on the new Kia Seltos.

Bose audio system is confirmed to be offered with the range topping variants. You can expect Kia to offer new colour scheme with the upholstery. There is a new mini display for the HVAC along with new controls.

Kia will be offering some new features that are not revealed yet but the biggest update here will be the provision of ADAS Level 1 in the updated Sonet. It will come equipped with Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, High Beam Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, etc.

The engine options will be the same. The range will include a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 83 HP, 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 120 HP and a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 116 HP.

The Kia Sonet facelift will compete with the Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger. How do you like the new front profile? Let us know in the comments section.
