Kia Sonet facelift spotted with new alloys, new tail light design
Kia is preparing to launch the Sonet facelift soon, the prototype has been spotted testing again, revealing new details of the compact SUV. It is likely to go on sale later this year or early next year.
As you can see in these spy shots, the updated Sonet will get new alloy wheels with diamond cut design along with substantial other design changes. The front profile will get a completely new look following the new design DNA with revised headlights and DRL setup. The front and rear bumper will be tweaked. There will be a new redesigned grille that will be larger in size.
Notice the new Seltos inspired tail lights in these images. It gets L-shaped LED tail lights, which might also remind you of the Honda Elevate. Kia is expected to offer new colour options with this update.
The interior too will get substantial tweaks in the form of new dashboard with a single piece setup for twin screens for the digital cluster and the touchscreen infotainment system. You can expect some new features including dashcam, ADAS, etc. The upholstery too is likely to get new colour theme for a fresh appeal.
There will be no mechanical changes. It will continue to be offered with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and the 1.5-litre diesel engine option.
The new Kia Sonet will compete with a range of cars including Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon and the likes.
