The Kia Sonet design has been revealed in an official rendering by the Korean carmaker today, ahead of the compact SUV’s debut that is scheduled to take place on 7th August 2020.
Kia Sonet design rendering shows a stylish compact SUV that has been given distinctive touches to cater to modern buyers who, according to Kia, are tech-savvy, aspirational and socially connected.
From the official rendering, we can see the signature design traits of the Korean car brand such as the “tiger nose” radiator grille that will get a “stepwell” geometric mesh. The DRLs, wheel rims and roof rails can also be seen in the picture.
Overall, the Kia Sonet design incorporates sharp creases and curves well to give the compact SUV an aggressive and rugged nature of a bigger vehicle.
Kia confirms this by saying that it was its ambition to give the Sonet a strong character found in much larger vehicles and promises excellent build quality, class-leading features, connectivity innovations and comprehensive safety equipment.
It also adds that the compact SUV’s design has a sporty attitude, a confident stance and a dynamic silhouette with uncompromising attention to detail.
Further, it adds that the compact SUV, which will be the second “Made in India” car for the Korean manufacturer with the Seltos being the first, will get colours and materials inspired by India’s cultural heritage.
It was only recently that the Sonet was spied undisguised, quite a while after it was first revealed at the Auto Expo 2020. It will get multiple powertrain options, like the Venue from Kia’s sister brand.
Kia says the ownership experience with the Sonet compact SUV will be unparalleled. The global premiere of the Kia Sonet will happen in a short while and the production model will hit Indian showrooms by the festive season.
