The Kia Sonet compact SUV concept has made its world debut in India.

The Kia Qyi compact SUV concept has been finally showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. This compact SUV will be launched with the name Sonet in the Indian market. It will be positioned in the sub-4-metre segment and will rival the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport, Maruti Vitara Brezza and Tata Nexon.
The Kia Sonet is based on the same platform as the Hyundai Venue. On the design front, it gets the usual Kia elements and is quite a looker. It is expected to come loaded with a lot of features and will get Kia’s connected car technology too.
The Kia Sonet will be offered with 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines and it might get the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine from the Venue too. With BS6 norms coming into place, the Venue will eventually get the new engines too. The Kia Sonet will be launched in India later this year.
