Ahead of its official launch, variant and equipment details of the Kia Seltos have been leaked.
The Kia Seltos is going to be launched in India in August 2019 and now the variant details of the compact SUV have been leaked. There will be 3 petrol variants – GTK, GTX and GTX+ while there will be 5 diesel variants – HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX and HTX+.
According to the document, the GTK variant will get LED headlamps and tail lights, LED light bar, LED fog lamps, mood lighting with sound effects, 17-inch alloys, cruise control, steering-mounted controls, push button start with smart key, rear AC vents, reclining rear seat and Bluetooth.
The GTX trim will get all the features of GTK plus a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with UVO Connect features, 7-inch MID, 8-inch MUD, rain-sensing wipers, climate control, wireless charging, TPMS, 6 airbags and driving modes.
The GTX+ variant will get the above features and a Bose 8-speaker audio system, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, sunroof, 360-degree camera, ventilated seats and front parking sensors.
The GTK variant will be offered with both the petrol engines (1.5-litre NA and 1.4-litre turbo) with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The GTX trim will be offered with both petrol engines with AT (CVT for the 1.5 and 7-speed DCT for the 1.4). The GTX+ trim will be available only with the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine with a 6-speed MT while an AT won’t be offered on this trim.
The HTE variant will get front and rear faux skid plates, shark-fin antenna, 4-speaker audio system, steering-mounted controls, rear AC vents and follow-me-home headlamps. The HTK trim will get the same features as the GTK trim.
The HTK+ trim will come with LED DRLs, mood lighting with sound effects, push button start with smart key, cruise control, electrically folding ORVMs, rear sunshade and one-touch up/down driver’s window.
The HTX variant will get similar features as the GTX trim while HTX+ will come with a similar equipment list as the GTX+. Safety features include 6 airbags, ABS, Brake Assist, Hill Start Assist, VSM, ESC and Blind Spot Monitor.
HTE and HTK will be offered with the 1.5-litre diesel engine with a 6-speed MT while HTK+ will get the same engine with either an MT or a 6-speed AT. HTX will get only a manual gearbox while HTX+ will get manual as well as automatic options.
