The Kia Seltos facelift has been spotted in the carmaker’s home country
Kia is busy working on the Seltos facelift and the car has been spotted yet again in South Korea. These recent spy shots reveal the car’s updated lighting units.
Expected to be introduced in India this year, the Seltos facelift will come with new headlights and a revised front end. The bumper will be new and the grille seems to have undergone some changes as well.
Unlike previous test mules, the recently spotted Kia Seltos facelift development car was riding on 16-inch wheels instead of new dual tone 17-inch rims. The side profile should remain unchanged otherwise.
At the back, the compact crossover will come with restyled LED tail lamps with a new light signature. Like the front section, the rear end of the updated Seltos will obtain a different look.
Inside, the car is expected to get new seat upholstery, more features including a panoramic sunroof and when it comes to safety, Kia is likely to offer top-spec variants of the Seltos facelift with advanced driver-assistance systems.
The same set of engines – 1.4-litre turbo-petrol, 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5-litre turbodiesel – should continue to do duty in the updated model, but the South Korean firm is expected to introduce the 6-speed iMT to the Seltos’ range.
Kia is likely to launch the car in India soon after Hyundai fields the updated Creta later this year. It should command a premium over the pre-facelift model on sale at present.
