The identity of the Kia Seltos facelift spied in the brand’s home country was heavily concealed
The Kia Seltos is set to get a facelift in 2022 and the car’s development mule has been spied once again in South Korea.
This heavily disguised mule does not give away much, but, there are details that can be ascertained nonetheless. The car is set to get a new set of headlamps with LED DRLs, while the grille and front bumper are set to be revised as well.
Along the sides, the recently spied Kia Seltos facelift test mule had new dual tone alloy wheels, while at the back, one can see that the compact SUV will get fresh tail lights and a restyled bumper.
Although the facelifted Seltos is likely to have some changes on the inside, it should be reserved to new seat upholstery and additional features. Will Kia equip the car with a panoramic sunroof for model year 2023? We cannot say for sure.
Expect the compact SUV to come with the same set of engines – 1.4-litre turbo-petrol, 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5-litre turbodiesel – as it does now. Its gearbox options could be expanded with the addition of a 6-speed iMT.
Likely to be introduced in India by Diwali next year, after the launch of the Hyundai Creta facelift, the Seltos facelift should cost a bit more than the current pre-facelift model.
