Kia Motors India wants to expand its dealership count, especially in small towns and rural parts of the nation, to further bolster its position in the market.
Executive Director and Chief Sales Officer, Kia Motors India, Tae-Jin Park has stated that the firm is currently expanding its dealership network and is aiming to reach 300 touchpoints by end of year.
When it started its journey in India, the Kia Motors dealership count stood at 265 across 160 cities, which it claims is the highest for a new entrant.
Further, the firm will focus on expansion in tier-4 markets that will help it penetrate deeper into the sector and is also focusing on increasing the profitability of its dealer partners. These are the key elements of Kia’s strategy for the next 2-3 years in the nation.
According to Tae-Jin Park, Kia wants to be present in even the remotest of locations for its products have received tremendous demand from across the country.
Further, Park stated that the automaker has put in place measures to improve sales and aftersales services. The firm has skill enhancement and training centres in Bengaluru, Faridabad and Mumbai at present.
Stating that the firm takes pride in the way it tries to incorporate major customer feedback it receives, the chief sales officer noted that introduction of sunroof in lower trims and all-back interior in the GT-line of the Seltos are examples of that.
