Kia India to increase prices by up to 3% from April 2025 due to rising input costs

Kia India has announced an upcoming price increase across its entire product lineup, set to take effect from April 1, 2025. The price adjustment, which will be up to 3%, is attributed to rising costs of commodities and input materials.

The company stated that while it is absorbing a significant portion of the increased expenses, the revision is necessary to mitigate the impact of inflation and rising production costs. Kia India emphasised its commitment to keeping the price hike as moderate as possible to minimise the financial burden on customers.

Since its entry into the Indian market, Kia has made a strong impact, selling a cumulative 1.45 million units both domestically and in overseas markets. Among its best-selling models, the Kia Seltos has recorded over 6.9 lakh units in sales, followed by the Sonet with 5 lakh units, the Carens with 2.32 lakh units and the Carnival MPV with over 15,000 units sold.

Kia is not the only automaker adjusting its prices in response to market conditions. Other major manufacturers, including Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors, have also announced price increases from next month. Maruti Suzuki will be implementing a 4% hike, while Tata Motors plans to raise prices by 3%.

With these revisions, automakers aim to navigate the challenges posed by fluctuating input costs while maintaining competitiveness in the market. Customers planning to purchase new vehicles may consider making their purchases before the revised prices take effect in April.
