The recently spotted Kia Carens looked identical to the model shown when the car made its debut
The production-spec Kia Carens has been spotted a week after the MPV was officially unveiled by the South Korean carmaker in India.
Spotted by MotorBeamer Soumithra Naidu in Hyderabad, this example looks very much like the model shown by the brand in the official images.
Equipped with the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine (140 PS and 242 Nm) and 7-speed DCT powertrain, the car is likely the top-spec variant from the look of things.
To be offered in both 6- and 7-seat configurations, the Carens can be had with LED headlights, DRLs and tail lamps, electric sunroof, alloy wheels, and more than enough chrome embellishment.
Inside, the car will have a dual tone cabin with tonnes of storage spaces, and features like a digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, connected car features, smartphone connectivity, ventilated front seats, 8-speaker BOSE sound system, among others.
As standard, the Carens will be fitted with disc brakes on all corners, 6 airbags, ESC, VSC, DBC, HAC, and TPMS. Hopefully, it should also perform well in the Global NCAP tests.
Apart from the above-mentioned powertrain option, the Carens will also be offered with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (115 PS and 144 Nm) and 1.5-litre turbodiesel (115 PS and 250 Nm) and an array of gearbox choices.
