Kawasaki Z900 SE Revealed

The motorcycle gets a new paint scheme

The Kawasaki Z900 SE comes with premium suspension and brake componentry

Kawasaki has revealed the Z900 SE, a premium variant of the popular naked motorcycle that has better suspension and improved stopping power.

The biggest difference between the standard Z900 and the SE is that the latter model features revised front fork which is fully adjustable and Ohlins rear suspension, also adjustable.

It is equipped with a TFT display like the Z900

Also the Kawasaki Z900 SE comes equipped with Brembo M4.32 front radial monobloc calipers and twin 300 mm front discs and stainless steel brake lines, also sourced from the Italian firm. The rear brake is unchanged.

Any new variant from Kawasaki gets a new colour scheme and this applies to the Z900 SE as well and the motorcycle comes painted in Metallic Spark Black shade with Candy Lime Green highlights.

In addition, the motorcycle comes with a TFT dash, 4 ride modes, and a suite of rider aids, while power comes from a 948cc 4-cylinder engine good for 125 PS and 98.6 Nm of torque.

It weighs the same as the regular model at 212 kg

Kawasaki says the engine note has been ‘sound tuned’ by its engineers for added riding engagement. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed transmission with a slipper clutch.

To be available overseas from December this year, the Kawasaki Z900 SE costs between £10,749 (Rs. 10.91 lakhs) and £11,699 (Rs. 11.88 lakhs) for the Performance Edition in the UK.

It is not known if this version will come to India or not. The standard, model year 2021, Z900 is priced at Rs. 8.42 lakhs (ex-showroom) here.
