The asking price of the Kawasaki Z650RS 50th Anniversary Edition is Rs. 7000/- more than the regular model
Kawasaki has launched the Z650RS 50th Anniversary Edition at a price of Rs. 6.79 lakhs (ex-showroom), in India. Only 20 units of the model has been made available in the country.
Offered only in Candy Diamond Brown colour which mimics the “Fireball” colourway of the original Z1 (which made its debut in 1972), the Z650RS 50th anniversary edition retains the regular models’ retro styling as is.
Apart from the unique colourway, the limited edition motorcycle also has a gloss black frame, ‘Z 50th’ logo on the tank, gold-coloured spoke-style cast wheels and a special textured leather seat with contrast colour stitching.
Featuring all-LED lighting units and a twin pod instrument cluster with an LCD screen, the Z650RS 50th anniversary edition comes powered by a 649cc parallel twin engine making 68 PS and 64 Nm of torque. The motor is paired with a 6-speed transmission.
Weighing 192 kg, the retro-style middleweight motorcycle rides on fat tyres (120/70-section up front and 160/60-section in the back) and has an accessible seat (800 mm) too.
While, its 12-litre fuel tank and 125 mm of road clearance will prove to be not so practical, at least its adjustable (for pre-load) rear monoshock and braking hardware are up to the job.
Kawasaki has announced that official deliveries of the limited edition model will commence in the country in March 2022.
