The Kawasaki Z 50th Anniversary Edition models come with unique paint schemes
Meet the 50th Anniversary Edition models of the Kawasaki Z family which come, well it does not take a genius to figure this out, half a century after the very first Z model, the 1972 Z1, broke cover.
First up is the 2022 Z650 50th anniversary edition (pictured above) that comes painted in Firecracker Red colour along with dark blue and silver highlights.
The red wheels have silver pinstripes, while the motorcycle also has split leather seat, a commemorative ‘Z 50th’ logo on the front fender and finally, the Kawasaki logo and the ‘Z’ emblem are finished in gold.
Painted in the same Firecracker Red shade as the 50th anniversary edition Z650 and the erstwhile Z1100GP, the special edition Z900 has a gloss black frame and gold-coloured fork outer tubes.
In Europe, the motorcycle will be available as both a full power and A2 specification model for the new season. It does not have any mechanical changes.
Up next is the 50th anniversary edition Z650RS and Z900RS which come with the ‘Fireball’ pattern of the original Z1 and a special Candy Diamond Brown paint.
These retro-style middleweight machines have a leather seat with different stitching, gloss black frames, gold-coloured wheels, ‘Z 50th’ logo on the top of the tank, ‘Double Overhead Camshaft’ emblems and a ‘DOHC’ emblem on the engine covers.
The Kawasaki Z 50th anniversary edition models do not sport any mechanical changes and continue to come with the same set of features as the regular versions of these motorbikes.
