Kawasaki and Bajaj recently celebrated the sale of the 1000th Ninja 250R in India. Due to the high level of success of the baby Ninja, the companies have decided to get in higher displacement bikes through the CKD route. Thus Bajaj-Kawasaki will launch the Ninja 650R in April, 2011 priced at Rs. 5 lakhs. The 649cc parallel twin produces 71bhp of power and 66Nm of torque, enough to satisfy the hunger of most Indian bike enthusiasts. If the Ninja 650R is a success, we can expect Kawasaki to launch ZX-14R which produces close to 200bhp and reaches 300kmph.
