Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R Launched, Priced At Rs. 10.49 Lakhs

The much anticipated Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 10.49 lakhs (ex-showroom). Dealers had started accepting bookings for the same last year in October. This mouth watering price is introductory for this latest supersport from Kawasaki and it is expected to increase in the near future.

Kawasaki has introduced the locally assembled CKD units of the Ninja ZX-6R. There are limited number of units allotted for the first round of bookings. The Japanese bike maker will get another lot of bikes depending on the demand of the ZX-6R in India.

Powering the Ninja ZX-6R is a 636cc, in-line 4-cylinder engine that produces 130 PS of power at 13,500 RPM and 70.8 Nm of torque at 11,000 RPM. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox that comes with slipper clutch. Kawasaki is currently offering a single colour option with the 6R in India, which is the KRT edition colour scheme.

It comes with a dual semi-floating 310 mm petal front discs and single 220 mm rear petal disc for braking duties. 120/70/R17 tyres are provided at the front while the rear gets 180/55/R17. It comes with a ground clearance of 130 mm, seat height of 830 mm, kerb weight of 196 kg and fuel tank capacity of 17-litres.

Some of the key features include Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System, Kawasaki TRaction Control, Kawasaki Quick Shifter, etc. The styling of the bike is inspired by its elder siblings. It comes with twin LED headlamps.
