Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R will go out of production after 2020.
Kawasaki introduced the Ninja ZX-14R in 2006 to compete against the Suzuki Hayabusa. The sports tourer motorcycle made a mark in the history of automobiles claiming the world’s most powerful motorcycle title when it was launched.
The Japanese bike maker has decided to pull the plug off the ZX-14R after 2020. One of the reasons for discontinuation of the bike is stricter emission norms in the near future.
Also, Kawasaki has a litre class range of bikes prepared for the greener future with the H2 series of bikes. This is another reason for the demise of the Ninja ZX-14R.
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R is powered by a 1441cc, liquid-cooled, in-line 4-cylinder engine that produces 200 PS of power with 158 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike is priced at Rs. 19.70 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
