Bajaj Auto’s collaboration with Kawasaki is proving to be a good medium for performance oriented enthusiasts to experience a new era of superbikes in India. Bajaj Auto is considering expanding the range of the Ninja family. Recently we saw the unveiling of the Ninja 300, which has been launched as a replacement for the Ninja 250R. Now, Bajaj Auto is said to introduce the high-end Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, which is expected to be launched this June. The Ninja ZX-10R is likely to be imported via the CBU route in India, which means that the motorcycle can cross the Rs. 10 lakh price mark.
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is powered by a liquid-cooled, 4-cylinder, 4-stroke 998cc engine with a DOHC layout. The monstrous engine produces a maximum power output of 197 BHP at 13,000 RPM with a peak torque of 112 Nm at 11,500 RPM, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Ninja ZX-10R also features an advanced Sport-Kawasaki Traction Control (S-KTRC) system. It is a three-way adjustable suspension system that performs as per the requirement of the rider.
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R consists of inverted 41mm adjustable telescopic front forks and horizontal back-link with gas charged, adjustable mono shock at the rear. For braking, the Ninja ZX-10R features petal disc brakes at both front and rear. The front wheel has dual disc brakes of 310 mm size and the rear features 220 mm disc brake. For enhanced braking experience, the bike comes equipped with ABS too. The front and rear tyre size is 120/70 R17 and 190/55 R17 respectively. The styling of the ZX-10R looks energetic and aggressive.
